Our protagonist 'Amalthea' finds herself in a strange alternate dimension where she encounters an unusual mythical being who takes her on a journey of self-discovery. Who is this being, and what will we learn?
'An Altered Reality' explores our view of and connection to social media via the use of filters and through the lens of an otherworldly fantasy/dream dimension.
This was a fun and interesting project and experimental in every sense.
It was filmed entirely on my phone and the latter half of the film was mostly filmed with Snapchat filters - except for the part with the projections. The projections and voice-over elements were further added to be 'experimental'.
